Tim started his career in 1995 with Bayer in Antwerp, where his initial focus was on process technology, chemical laboratory analyses, and safety; before re-orienting towards internal controls, corporate taxes, and treasury management. In parallel, he supported various projects on leadership and corporate culture. In 2013, Tim joined LyondellBasell in their Rotterdam WHQ to lead the treasury team, take responsibility for the globally centralized treasury and risk management processes, and drive various process optimization efforts and cross-functional initiatives. In 2018, Tim started as Head of Treasury with Borealis in Vienna, heading a team of 10 FTEs, and coordinating various cross-functional finance and M&A projects incl. integration and carve-out. As of December 2021, he became Vice President Group Treasury at Ahlstrom-Munksjö, based in Helsinki.
In addition, Tim is also a frequent speaker at international conferences; served as a Board Member with (a.o.) ATEB, the Belgian Treasury Association; and implemented a treasury and risk program at Vlerick Business School.
He holds a Bachelor degree in Chemistry and Process Technology; a Bachelor and Master of Science degree in Business Administration, Accountancy and Taxes; and an International Corporate Treasury Certification (CertITM) from the ACT.
Sumit Sharma is a senior Treasury professional with experience of developing and managing Treasury teams. With experience in strategic planning & business partnering and related change management throughout his career. Has worked for some of the known global corporates, and a public sector organisation.
Currently, leading Treasury at NTT Data EMEA out of London, UK. In addition to cash management, risk, funding, trading, his team also well engages with the group entities on working capital optimization, trade instruments, M&A, etc.
My current role is Head of Payments, Product Management for EMEA. I’m responsible for payable and receivable products (Payments, VAM, tFX etc.) in the region. In this capacity I have initiated our industry engagement, this is focused on identifying opportunities to partnering, co-create, support and supply software providers and fintech’s. I’m also an active member of a number of fintech / crypto groups outside the bank, in these groups I mentor, provide advice or simply participate.
My career at MUFG started in 2020 in London. Initially I focused on Payments strategy and digitisation, but over the last year this has expanded into broader Transaction banking development and engagement. Previously I held roles at Santander, including as the Heading Direct and Indirect channels (UK), where we designed the International Cash Management channel. Prior to that I have worked for 15yrs focused on FS directly in Banking or as a Consultant across Europe as well as in the Americas and Hong Kong.
I am married, having initially met my wife (Hsiao-hui) at The University of Edinburgh where we were both studying towards an International MBA focusing on Strategy. we have relocated several times before settling in London in 2015. Working internationally and as part of diverse energetic companies has been a great source of joy for me. Travel has always had a strong pull, having a strong curiosity for different cultures, their stories, food and wine has led me to live and work around the world. I am a futurist, so you will always find me tinkering and toying with new gadgets or concepts and then trying to bring these ideas back into the office. My other interests include MMA and Rugby, a sport that I have been involved (watching, playing and coaching) with since I was 6, though this largely as spectator these days.
John Bowler joined Huawei’s London-based Treasury Risk team in 2017. He works on regular reports on the global economic outlook for senior management and on country risk.
Before joining Huawei he worked at the Economist Intelligence Unit, serving as Regional Director for Latin America and as Director of the Country Risk Service.
Previously he had spells as a business news reporter for Reuters and as a researcher in econometrics at University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in Classics from Cambridge University and an MSc in Economics from Birkbeck College, London University.
Michael Aandahl is heading up the digitalization of the Ingka Group (IKEA) treasury function since 2015. He has been instrumental for the whole modernization of the treasury function such as bring all treasury systems on the cloud, introducing robotics, setting up a bulletproof cybersecurity program, work-from-anywhere, AI-based cashflow forecasting, in-house bank, etc. – all contributing to his team being rewarded by industry technology award in 2021. Prior to joining Ingka Michael worked much with new technologies across a number of international companies in several countries gaining a broad understanding of doing business in many different ways across different sectors (energy, manufacturing, IT).
Michael is very curious by nature and actively involved in understanding how technology can drive new business models whilst improving top-line and bottom-line. His main focus has been around treasury and financial services and use of AI, big data, cryptocurrencies, blockchain, DeFi, CBDCs, e-wallets and crypto assets.
10 years of experience in Treasury, starting as Treasury Analyst for a CAC 40 company with now a team of 10+ members in the America’s largest private company running Treasury and order-to-cash operations, including trade finance activities.
Noah Faase is a Treasury expert currently leading AB InBev’s Global Treasury team out of Leuven, Belgium. In addition to funding, trading, risk, & cash management, ABI’s Global Treasury engages in the full breath of the business including supporting the company’s M&A, DeFi, and ESG agendas. A seasoned Commodity Trading and Risk Management professional with a demonstrated history of success across asset classes, Noah is a specialist in Corporate Finance and Enterprise Risk Management.
A penchant for financial markets and the number systems that underpin them, Mr. Faase has directed his career towards opportunities to combine high level finance with Sustainability. Noah is enthusiastic about his work and about partnering with ABI to grow and learn and drive the Sustainability agenda forward. Noah has a Masters in Social and Applied Ethics and a Bachelors in Applied Mathematics.

He is currently responsible for a team of 15 Fte that run the Strategic Finance & Treasury activities at the Port of Rotterdam Group, these include but are not limited to Business Control, Governance and Management of subsidiaries, Investment & Portfolio Management, as well as the following Treasury functions: Payments & Cash management, Liquidity management, Corporate Finance, Investor Relations & Financial Risk Management. He is also an executive Director for Blocklab BV, the Rotterdam Blockchain Fieldlab, where he stimulates the use of Blockchain technology in the Logistical & Energy sector.
